Paramount Education
We inspire the intellect and imagination of young people by providing them opportunities to experience, perform, and learn through the arts. Our vision is that all young people will have the creative confidence they need to be successful in their communities. With a focus on the youth of Central Texas and their families, we serve approximately 22,000 kids annually.
EXPERIENCE
Theatre for Families
Bringing world-class performing arts to Austin families, Discovery Series shows span theatre, dance, film, music, and puppetry. From popular books adapted from the page to the stage, to world premiere productions, there is something for everyone in the family to love! Every ticket comes with a Discovery Guide, filled with activities tailored to the show’s content.
Student Matinees/Digital Field Trips
Each season we invite PreK–12th grade students to experience the magic of the Paramount and State Theatres on school field trips and in their schools during assemblies! Along with the theatre-going experience, we offer pre-show workshops for all classrooms and provide a Discovery Guide for every child. This year, we are excited to offer free digital field trips, which include asynchronous access to videos and interactive TEKS-connected content. Live student matinee performances at the Paramount Theatre will return in spring 2022.
Access to the Arts
We offer complimentary tickets to our performances and films to nonprofit partner agencies that serve Central Texas youth. We ensure the arts and artists are accessible to everyone, regardless of their income or background. In addition, we help to arrange special events that bring young people closer to our artists with private meet and greets, master classes, opportunities to observe sound checks, Q&As with performers, and more!

Summer Camps
Paramount Education hosts award-winning performing arts camps all summer long for rising 1st-10th grade students. All sessions culminate with final performances on our historic stages.
LEARN
Literacy to Life/Story Wranglers
Our seven-week in-school creative writing residency helps third graders learn the foundations of creative writing through arts-integrated lessons designed to motivate students and improve their writing skills. At the end of the seven weeks, professional actors known as the Paramount Story Wranglers transform students’ original stories into a super energetic, inspiring, and hilarious performance for the entire campus!
